A blend of different music cultures through 500 years of the city of Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Bearing in mind its cultural and historical heritage, Sarajevo today has the potential to be one of the largest cultural and touristic locations in the Balkans and southeastern Europe. For more than four hundred years, mosques, synagogues, and orthodox and roman catholic churches have been built side by side. Different cultures have left a great mark on the city, music, literature, gastronomy, painting and in all forms of cultural heritage and tradition.
Through the musical notes that mark traditional music, sevdalinka, Sephardic music and classical music, DUO WE and the vocal ensemble Korona have evoked a culture in Sarajevo and Bosnia Herzegovina with their music. It is designed like a the time machine of conversations through various musical compositions by DUO WE and the Korone ensemble, which add to the historical period of the Bosnian and Herzegovinian music scene and the path of its development.
In order to develop the urban culture of the space in which we live and to which we belong, a musical cultural description of the city of Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina is presented in order to intensify the cultural activity of the citizens. The general goal of the "Music Speaks" project is the promotion of the city of Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina as a center of different cultures.
