The pre-kick off meeting of the Erasmus+ Sport project under the title “Cloud-based education for creative sport talents” – TALENT, took place online on January 10, 2023. The purpose of this meeting was to better prepare for the kick-off meeting which will be organised in Split, Croatia on February 2-3, 2023.
Welcoming words and a brief introduction were given by the project coordinator, following introductory presentations by all partners of the consortium. Lead partners of each WP had an opportunity to present the activities and tasks within each work package. A list of assignments that need to be completed by the kick-off meeting was drafted. The partners also had an opportunity to connect and get to know each other, exchange initial thoughts about the project's workplan and deliverables. More detailed presentations will follow in February. This meeting provided a solid foundation for the kick-off in February and set the stage for successful collaboration among all partners in the upcoming months. Overall, the meeting was necessary to ensure an efficient launch of the project.
The main goal of the project TALENT is to establish a method and establish standards for identifying gifted young athletes' anthropometric and motor abilities in specific sports, while also raising awareness among teachers, coaches, and parents regarding the unique requirements of young athletes. Additionally, the project aims to support the pursuit of dual careers among athletes to keep them engaged in both sports and education, and to educate them on the advantages of such a path.
