CULTURWB: SMOC conducted a survey at cultural institutions in Jajce

As part of the implementation of the Erasmus+ CULTURWB project (“Strengthening Capacities for Tourism Changes in WB: Building Competences for Quality Management of Heritage and Cultural Tourism”), during their stay in Jajce representatives of the Sarajevo Meeting of Cultures had the opportunity to visit the Agency for Cultural, Historical and Natural Heritage and the development of the tourism potential of the town of Jajce and the AVNOJ Session II Museum with the aim of presenting the project and conducting a survey on skills and competences gaps in culture and tourism.

At a meeting at the Agency, they discussed with the director Mr. Huso Hadžić and project manager Aida Softić-Joldić various opportunities for joint ventures, including having them on board as one of the key stakeholders in BiH during CULTURWB implementation, their potential role and importance of active involvement. SMOC team also took the opportunity to visit the Ethno Museum of the town of Jajce. After visiting the Agency, SMOC visited the Museum of the AVNOJ Session II to meet the Museum Director, Ms. Emsada Leko, as well as Museum staff.

The expected results of the CULTURWB project are the development of new lifelong learning programs and a new master academic study program that aims to build competencies for quality management within cultural institutions, cultural heritage management, event management, and cultural tourism development processes. In this complex process, cooperation with cultural and tourism stakeholders is indispensable. CULTURWB project is funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ program.
