[:en]The kick-off meeting of the Erasmus+ Sport project “Young explorers re-discover local communities through orienteering” (ORIENT) took place online via Zoom platform on March 3rd and March 4th, 2021.
The successful project launch gathered representatives from six institutions of the consortium (CESIE, BSDA, WUS Austria, SMOC, KMOP and CSI) that come from six countries respectively (Italy, Bulgaria, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece and Cyprus).
The meeting commenced with a short introduction of the consortium partners, followed by a session on the basics of the grassroot sport by ORIENT's external expert on orienteering, Africa Scaletta.
Basic project information was presented by the project coordinator CESIE (priority addressed, objectives, specific objectives, main target groups, the approach, activities, results and timeline), as well as the activities that will be implemented throughout the life of the project. All partners had an opportunity to discuss each topic covered by the coordinator, providing inputs and sharing their thoughts.
