The kick-off meeting of the project "EUropean Collective nArratives for Reconciliation and trauma hEaling through youth engagement and Storytelling"- EU-CARES, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission took place in Novi Sad, Serbia on January 12-13, 2023. The meeting was attended by all partners of the consortium, which gathers eight partner organisations that come from Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, Albania, Poland, Montenegro, and Serbia.
The“ EU-CARES project aims to address collective trauma and aid the reconciliation process among disadvantaged young people in the Western Balkans through the use of storytelling techniques. The project's objectives include empowering youth workers, fostering a European identity among young people, engaging young people in meaningful dialogue, and increasing networking between youth organizations and policymakers to create resilient communities. The project will also transfer knowledge to organizations working with displaced and disadvantaged young people in the Eastern Balkans.
