On November 6, 2024, in Sarajevo, the project consortium behind the "EUropean Collective nArratives for Reconciliation and Trauma hEaling through Youth Engagement and Storytelling” (EU-CARES),co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission, proudly presented the outcomes and accomplishments of their two-year initiative at the project's final conference. Held at the Europe House, the event brought together more than 60 participants from both national and international backgrounds to commemorate the successful completion of this impactful project. The gathering served as a celebration of the hard work, dedication, and collaborative efforts that went into fostering reconciliation and healing through youth-driven storytelling.
The EU-CARES project has centered on harnessing storytelling as a powerful means of healing collective trauma and promoting reconciliation among marginalized youth in the Western Balkans. This final event brought together youth workers, policymakers, and community members to highlight the project's successes and explore new strategies for fostering intercultural dialogue, democracy, and human rights. The conference featured a dynamic program with keynote addresses, youth storytelling performances, and thought-provoking discussions on how creative practices can strengthen communities and enhance mutual understanding, leaving a lasting impact on all attendees. This was an opportunity to learn about the transformative power of narratives in healing trauma, fostering solidarity, and shaping a better future for displaced and marginalized groups!
We take this opportunity to thank the EU-CARES project partners of the consortium for wonderful cooperation, all key note speakers and participants!
Zahvaljujemo se i Federalnom ministarstvu kulture i sporta na podršci projektu tokom protekle dvije godine.
