"EPIC" - approved!

✅The Erasmus+ project titled "Entrepreneurial Citizenship for Social Change" - EPIC has been approved for funding. The project was initiated in partnership with Cyprus, Greece, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, and Kosovo.

The project proposition underscores the significance of active citizenship and social entrepreneurship in tackling societal challenges and fostering transformative change. It acknowledges the symbiotic relationship between social entrepreneurship and active citizenship, underscoring the pivotal role of grassroots initiatives in confronting social issues. Social entrepreneurship is posited as a conduit for young individuals to harness their competencies and enthusiasm to devise inventive solutions while simultaneously addressing societal concerns and enriching communal welfare. The project endeavors to promote and facilitate the establishment of social enterprises as a strategy to mitigate youth unemployment and furnish economic prospects. Additionally, it aims to confront underlying issues such as social marginalization and deficiencies in skills training. By cultivating a proactive mindset among youth and empowering them to discern social dilemmas and formulate social enterprise concepts, the project endeavors to advance sustainable socio-economic progress and enhance the welfare of youth in the Western Balkans. Through its structured curriculum and resource toolkit, the project will steer and bolster youth in translating their concepts into tangible and innovative ventures with a social orientation, thereby engendering meaningful employment avenues and contributing to favorable societal transformation.

Priorities of the project:

  • Fostering cooperation across different regions of the world through joint initiatives
  • Raising the capacity of organisations working with young people outside formal learning
  • Supporting the development of youth work in third countries not associated to the Programme, improving its quality and recognition
  • Promoting non-formal learning activities in third countries not associated to the Programme, especially targeting young people with fewer opportunities, with a view to improve the level of competences while ensuring the active participation of young people in society
  • Contributing to the implementation of the EU Youth Strategy (2019-2027) including the 11 European Youth goals and the Youth Action Plan in the EU External Action
