A Transnational project meeting of the ORIENT project took place in Palermo May 9-10, 2022. This was another opportunity for all partners of the consortium to reassure that the implementation dynamics are in accordance with the time table and constructively plan all upcoming activities of the project.
Aside from the two-day office work of all partners, the consortium had an opportunity to practice orienteering on the streets of Palermo, using a map and compas. Thank you for organising this educational and fun activity CESIE!
Sarajevo Meeting of Cultures is in the midst of preparing the pilot trainings of ORIENT curriculum for sports trainers and CSO representatives. The trainings will take place May 30-31, 2022.
Let us remind that ORIENT- Young explorers re-discover local communities through orienteering will foster social inclusion of vulnerable young people through orienteering, sharing and discovering their urban and natural local contexts, history and cultural heritage. ORIENT aims to enhance the connection and networking among members of a community through a participative co-creative approach in the creation of orienteering routes, hence, fostering more inclusive societies, promoting a sense of agency and positive change at local level.
Building fairer and more inclusive societies has become an ever-growing challenge with young people lacking concrete tools for sustainable social inclusion and community building.
