2nd Transnational Project Meeting Of The Erasmus+ Project „DiCultYouth: Digitization And Culture For New Generations“ – Sarajevo
In recent days, Sarajevo Susret Kultura hosted a consortium within the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership project - „DiCultYouth: Digitization and Culture for new generations.“
We had the opportunity to host our partners from Serbia, Cyprus, and Greece and together we analyzed the activities carried out so far and the activities that we still need to implement.
We discussed the current state of digital skills in the culture and cultural heritage sectors and the knowledge and competencies needed to improve them.
The DiCultYouth project will provide informal education that will encourage the work and employment of young people through their participation and volunteering in the cultural sector using new technologies, which are adapted to today's demanding job market. Insufficient integration of young people into society, formal education without practical work, and the lack of adaptation of education to the increasingly demanding job market are some of the most vulnerable segments of this population in terms of acquiring knowledge and skills for their existence on the job market.
This project aims to create conditions for the affirmation of young people and reduce their need to leave the country by giving them the opportunity to adapt to changes through innovative technologies and thereby integrate into society, get education, practice, and the skills and knowledge needed in today's increasingly competitive job market.
